CReATE Workshop Scheduled for April
The Office of Research will be hosting its twelfth CReATE (Compliance and Research Administration Training and Education)Workshop April 9-10, 2009. The workshop description, schedule and registration form can be accessed by clicking HERE. A few changes have been made and materials will be presented over a two-day period instead of our past three-day schedule. We appreciate your assistance in passing this information along to those in your area who would benefit.
Sponsored Research Services has updated the Proposal Transmittal Form (DSR Form 1). The significant changes are:
- Blocks 9 and 12 have been reworded to clarify the use of the information entered.
- Block 10 has been modified to add a new approval certification related to the NIH Public Access rule.
- In the Certifications section:
- A new item has been added related to the use of nanomaterials,
- The item related to Faculty Overload has been deleted due to changes to the Faculty Handbook, and
- The information in block 41 has been updated due to changes to the Faculty Handbook.
- The information in block 43 has been expanded to better explain the uses of Waiver codes 1 and 4. The requirements for waiver sources and approvals for Waiver codes 2 and 3 have been deleted.
The form's instructions have been updated and a new continuation page has been provided in the event additional investigator and/or approval space is needed.
